Getting Started

The most direct way is to contact us through our website or by telephone. We will arrange a visit to your property at a time that suits you, assess the site, discuss your vision, and propose an approach. There is no obligation involved in the initial consultation.

Our work is focused exclusively on Martha's Vineyard. This is not a limitation — it is a deliberate choice. Sixteen years working this specific island have given us a depth of knowledge about its terrain, climate, regulatory environment, and suppliers that we cannot replicate elsewhere. That knowledge is what makes our work exceptional.

This varies depending on the scope of work, seasonal demand, and any permitting requirements. For smaller projects, we can often begin within a few weeks of agreement. Larger landscape installations are typically scheduled several months in advance. We are transparent about timelines from the first conversation.

Our Services

We are a fully integrated firm. Our team handles hardscape, softscape, masonry, excavation, irrigation, and ongoing maintenance — all in-house. You deal with one team, one point of contact, and one standard of quality across every element of your project. There are no subcontractors and no coordination required on your part.

Yes — and we consider it an essential part of a long-term relationship with a property. We offer tailored maintenance programmes that cover seasonal care, pruning, fertilisation, irrigation management, and year-round property monitoring. Many of our maintenance clients have been with us for a decade or more.

We work with natural fieldstone, granite, bluestone, and hand-selected quarried materials sourced from regional suppliers we have worked with for years. We do not use artificial or composite materials. Every material is chosen for its character, its suitability to the project, and its proven performance in the coastal New England climate.

Pricing & Process

Every project is priced individually based on scope, materials, site conditions, and timeline. We provide detailed, transparent proposals following the initial site assessment so you understand exactly what is included and what each element costs. We do not offer generic quotes without first visiting the property.

Yes, fully. LandMasters carries comprehensive liability insurance and all required operational licences for the work we undertake on Martha's Vineyard. Documentation is available upon request and is provided as a standard part of our project agreement.

We are thoroughly familiar with Martha's Vineyard's conservation regulations, wetland setbacks, and municipal permit requirements — including those specific to each of the island's towns. Where permits are required, we manage the process on your behalf and factor the timeline into project scheduling.

Many of our clients are seasonal residents. We are experienced in managing projects with minimal on-site involvement from the property owner. We provide regular photographic updates, clear written communication, and complete documentation of work completed. Your property is treated with the same care whether or not you are present.
