Project Overview

A Private Estate Transformed from the Ground Up

This Edgartown estate presented one of the more demanding scopes of work we undertake: a large coastal property requiring comprehensive site preparation, precision excavation, and structural masonry, all executed in coordination with active construction on a significant new residence.

The property, set within a mature woodland context characteristic of the island's interior, required careful clearing and grading to establish the built landscape around a substantial new construction. Our work addressed the full site perimeter — from the approach drive and motor court through to the pool surround and the stone masonry detailing that frames the residence's lower level.

The Scope of Work

The Edgartown project required LandMasters to operate across the full breadth of our service offering. The scale of the site — a multi-acre estate in active development — demanded precise coordination between our earthwork operations and the construction teams on site.

Our excavation and grading work established the finished elevations across the entire site — creating the motor court, shaping the approach from the access drive, and preparing the pool area to precise tolerances required for the structural concrete work that followed.

The stone masonry work at the lower level of the residence — a curved retaining wall in natural fieldstone — required hand-selection of material and placement by our most experienced masons, forming the architectural base from which the full landscape composition is built.
